The Brazilian winger Douglas Costa has been ruled out of the Olympics due to injury, as Bayern Munich announced today on their official website.
The 25 years old will miss the Olympics at his homeland due to a left thigh injury. The Olympic games will take place in Rio de Janero during 5-23 August.
Bayern Munich has announced that they’ve informed Brazilian FA that Douglas Costa wont join his national team during this summer due to his injury status.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that they’re sad to announce it, but it’s better for Douglas Costa health to not attend the Olympics. The 25 years old winger will continue his recovery in Munich.
