According to La Gazzeta dello Sport AC Milan are close to sign Alvaro Arbeloa on a free transfer. The 33-year-old’s contract with Real Madrid expired this summer.
AC Milan has signed only Lapadulla this summer from Pescara, after Berlusconi is in intense negotiations of selling the club to Chinese investors.
The Rossoneri has been linked with Pjaca earlier this month, but the Croatian wonderkid choosed to join Juventus. They have been close to sign Musacchio from Villareal but or the moment Adriano Galliani has no budget and as always he’s been looking on free agents.
The AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella has asked for an experienced defender to play alongside Romagnoli next season and it seems Galliani has found a suitable option.
Alvaro Arbeloa is a natural right back, but the Spaniard can also play as a centre back. The 33 year old defender got a great amount of experience as he has played with Liverpool and Real Madrid – which makes him a perfect option for play alongside Alessio Romagnoli.
On Sunday, Galliani has negotiated with Arbeloa’s agent – they have principally agreed a 1 year deal with the option of another season based on the defender performances.
Reports says that the chinese investors has given their “OK” for the deal, but anyway this is not official yet as the Rossoneri main target remains Musacchio.
