Chelsea vs Leicester City Match Preview & Possible lineups
- Updated: October 14, 2016
Stamford Bridge will welcome the Premier League champions this week-end as the International Break is over. Chelsea will try to continue with another victory after defeating Hull City , meanwhile the Foxes will try to get the first win since 17 September when they defeated Burnley.
Leicester City aren’t doing great on their way to defend the Premier League title as they’ve collected only 2 wins on the first 7 weeks. The Foxes currently sits 12th with only 8 points earned. On the other side, Chelsea started the season well – 3 wins on the first 4 weeks, than they were defeated vs Arsenal and Liverpool. Currently the Blues got 13 points and they stand 7th.
Antonio Conte will have to face Ranieri without Willian, who have travelled back to Brazil after the death of his mother. Victor Moses is expected to replace the Brazilian international. On the center of the midfield Conte seems to trust once again to Matic instead of Cesc Fabregas , who have been linked with a possible move to AC Milan on January.
Leicester City havent found their winning formula yet, but still they trust to the key players they had last season : Mahrez, Vardy, Drinkwater and the back four. The Foxes got a disappointing away record this season as they’ve lost all 3 of them. The Premier League Champions also have failed to beat Chelsea on the last 6 matches at Stamford Bridge, loosing 5 of them.
Possible Line ups:
Chelsea : Courtois, Alonso, David Luiz, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Matic, Kante, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Diego Costa.
Leicester City : Schmeichel, Fuchs, Huth, Morgan, Simpson, Mahrez, Amartey, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Slimani, Vardy
