Man City close to agreeing deal for veteran Brazilian fullback

Manchester City are closing in on a deal to sign Dani Alves, according to Goal.

The Etihad Stadium outfit are targeting four full backs this summer, and it’s reported that the 34 year old Brazilian was one of those shortlisted, the others being Tottenham’d Kyle Walker, Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy and Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand.

The former Sevilla and Barcelona player is reportedly also very keen to link up with his former boss Pep Guardiola, and is expected to agree personal terms with the two time premier league champions as soon as possible, and if the deal is done, he will bring much needed experience and a winning attitude that the City dressing room so severely lacked last season.

Though in his mid thirties, Alves is still playing at the highest level in one of the world’s most toughest leagues and his appetite for success hasn’t waned one bit, as he was able to add a Scudetto and Coppa Italia double to his impeccable CV that includes six La Liga titles, five Copa Del Rey’s, three European Cups, four UEFA Super Cups and three FIFA Club World cups, and is currently the most decorated Brazilian player of all time.
