Official : Serge Gnabry joins Bayern Munich

German Champions Bayern Munich have signed former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry on a three year deal, according to BBC Sport.

The 21 year-old made his Arsenal breakthrough in 2012 but left for Werder Bremen after failing to get regular playing time at the North London Club and his one and only season at the Weserstadion was impressive enough to catch the champions’ attention, who then moved to trigger his €8 million release clause.

“Proud to be part of this club 🔴⚪️” he tweeted.

“I have exciting times ahead of me, which I look forward to” He went on to say.

Bayern’ should chairman Karl-Heinz Rumenigge was equally enthusiastic about the transfer “We are pleased to have acquired the services of a young German international in Serge. He has developed very well at Bremen” he reportedly said.

The young German notched 11 goals in 27 appearances for Die Grün-Weißen last season, and his blistering pace, close ball control, excellent vision and passing range will make him an excellent addition to FC Bayern’s high octane attack.
