PSG to trigger buyout clause of Man United goalkeeper target

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain are reportedly ready to meet the €100 million buyout clause in Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak, according to Goal.

The 24 year old’s future has been a subject of intense speculation as it was reported that Man United were eyeing the Slovenian international as a replacement for David De Gea whose future has also been uncertain as reports linking him with a move back to his homeland with Real Madrid have refused to die down.

PSG have been looking to recruit a goalkeeper this summer and are reportedly ready to spend big on a tried and tested custodian and the Atleti number one reportedly did tick all the right check boxes for them.

For any business to be done, an eye watering offer will have to be tabled and the Paris based side to have the financial muscle to get it over the line, but getting the deal done could prove extremely difficult as Alteti will definitely not be willing to do business as their transfer ban will prohibit them from getting a replacement.

On the contrary, Atleti could find themselves in a sticky situation though, if the buyout clause is met, and the player in question expresses the desire to leave, then they will have no choice but to oblige.

Oblak joined the Rojiblancos in the summer 2014 as a 21 year old and has made 79 appearances for Atleti and 14 appearances for the Slovenian National team, and is currently one of the finest young shot stoppers in the game today.
